Downloading and Installing AUV Workbench

For users:

The NPS AUV Workbench software installer can be downloaded from the following location.

• Software release (build date) or nightly build.

After running the installer:

• To get the latest nightly software revisions, select menu item Updates > Update AUV Workbench Software ...
• To get the latest Savage visualization models, select menu item Updates > X3D Models Download ...
• To retrieve more GIS geospatial data for different locales, select menu item Updates > Geospatial Datasets Download ...
  Some of these assets are public, others are only accessible under For Official Use Only (FOUO) rules to U.S. government civilians and contractors.

If you have difficulty downloading the autoinstaller:

• NPS AUV Workbench installation CDs can be requested from Don Brutzman, NPS

For developers:

The AUV Workbench Software development resources describe how to obtain and build source code.

Automated Updates

TODO warning: operation of this feature needs to be confirmed since configuration of server permissions is tricky.

For daily updates to the AUV Workbench:

• Select menu item Tools -> Update AUV Workbench software
• These are recompiled nightly (California, pacific time zone).
• Nightly creation of updated files is built via the AuvWorkbenchAutoUpdate project on the Savage Hudson Server.
