Course Introduction
  Date: 30 January 2006

Course Introduction. First presented in the early 1990s and then multicast across the Internet in 1995, Hamming's Learning to Learn course documents the career of one of the great thinkers of computer science. More than that, Richard Hamming presents mundane problems and grand challenges encountered throughout his career, showing how an inquiring attitude and dedicated scientific approach can unlock apparently untractable problems. While providing a grand tour of computer science in the second half of the twentieth century, his goal is to change how you think about learning and your research.
