public class EnvironmentData
extends Object

A class to centralize access to environmental data sources from classes within the instantiating JVM as well as classes in other JVMs running on the same physical host. It uses a "netClient" delegate to "remotely" (through the localhost network interface) access a sister instance if it is found that one such exists.

soleInstance

public static EnvironmentData soleInstance(boolean enabled)
                                    throws Exception

Public access so it can be called from AUVW main. Otherwise, the only caller of either static method is EnviroCustomer, which is in same package. This one is designed to be called once per machine. If it detects that another instance of this class is instantiated on another machine, it will throw an exception

Exception - if someone is already going.
